Every month we' ll be introducing you to our #farleighsangels, giving a voice to our inspiring community.
Our angel for December is Hum Fleming - The epilepsy activist and fashion PR who will challenge you to burpees and win every time.
Tell us more about your work for Epilepsy?
I'm an ambassador for Young Epilepsy - an amazing charity for children with very severe epilepsy. At the moment we are doing a campaign called Facing Epilepsy that CBD4epilepsy has been pushing particularly on social media with the aim to make every person living with the condition feel brave enough to talk out about and not feel burdened by any stigma surrounding the condition/ label of 'epilepsy'. You can view some of the videos on the @YoungEpilepsy
What’s an issue matters to you right now?
How difficult it is is to get medical marijuana in this country even though it has finally been legalised.
Where can we find you working out?
Box Clever Sports, Ladbroke Grove. The ONLY place. It has been my therapy and sanctuary for the past 5 yrs- No frills attached boxing gym in a car park, awesome music and a team of trainers who are now like family.
What’s your life mantra?
'Icy Calm We're Winning' from my Dad.
What’s the best advice you have received?
Take time and make time for your family - as hectic as life might be you never know what is around the corner so make the most of every minute you have with them as life flies by.
What’s on your Christmas wish-list?
We're not actually doing Christmas presents this year as my Dad hasn't been very well. So the focus is more on family and all being together at home for the first time in a while.
And your top three Christmas hits?
- The Pogues - The Fairytale of New York
- Band Aid - Do they know its Christmas
- Eartha Kitt - Santa Baby
Thank you to Hum for spending the afternoon with us!
